(Q) I am currently doing the HCG diet, and it has been very successful. I spent about 15 days on the preparation-supplements, dietary, etc., and actually began the diet one week ago today. Yesterday, I found myself extremely lightheaded and dizzy. I am being STRICTLY adherent to the diet, without any exceptions and have lost 13 pounds in 6 days. I have a couple of basic questions that my friends said that they did when on the diet, but I don't officially see them in the diet instructions from you,
- May I have an extra organic apple sometime during the day?
- May I eat cauliflower as a vegetable? Are there any additional veggies I may eat?
- May I eat greens with onions, tomatoes, broccoli ALL MIXED TOGETHER? (I know that you are not supposed to mix veggies, but I thought I read somewhere that you could for a salad).
- May I cook my chicken in broth?
(A) WOW, 13 pounds in 6 days!!! EXCELLENT! Being lightheaded is very common, usually due to the detox. This abnormal fat that you are losing is loaded with toxins. Drink more water and tea, consider a colonic, or do a coffee enema at home, take some cornsilk tea, do FIR, hot/cold therapy, slow walk for 15-60 minutes, increase vitamin C, use EWOT, come in and let us show you a couple drainage remedies that can be of assistance.
- Having an extra apple is not allowed on the diet, although I know several people that found it necessary a couple times during phase 2. The dizziness is not food related so much as detox related, sooo....try to work through this time if possible.
- Cauliflower and broccoli are not allowed on the diet. We highly recommend that you stay away from them! You can make a salad. Taken from Phase 1-4 packet page 21:
- Can I mix vegetables? No, with one exception. You can make a salad consisting of various organic lettuces, organic cabbage, organic spinach, organic celery, organic onions, organic cucumbers, organic radishes, and organic tomatoes. Season with organic raw apple cider vinegar, or the juice of one-half an organic lemon. Add sea salt, black pepper, crushed garlic, in any amounts of dried or fresh organic herbs. It's delicious and filling!
- You cannot use chicken broth, yet, you can make your own broth by slow cooking your chicken, etc in a crock pot or in the oven covered, this will allow the chicken's own juices to be released.
The hunger doesn't usually last past 1-7 days so, hang in there. Remember the above recommendations will help with the hunger caused from the rapid detox.
(Q) I am on the HCG diet and my skin is so very dry-my hands and face especially. Is there anything that I may use on them?
(A) Try Aloe Vera gel for dry skin
(Q) My fiance is a diabetic...is the HCG diet ok for him to use and follow? He gives himself an insulin shot everyday... Thank you. He is 56 yrs. old.
(A) Yes that is ok. The only difference is that you eat two poached eggs in the mornings for breakfast. Make sure that you take an insulin check 3X's/day as blood sugar will start to balance immediately, and you will have to modify your dose accordingly. Most people are off their diabetes meds in 1 wk into the diet. Please monitor blood sugar levels diligently.
(Q) I have ordered the HCG drops and I have been reading the HCG diet plan where it separates Breakfast, lunch and Dinner and tells you what you can eat for each of the meals.
On the first page where it shows which meats, vegetables and fruit you can eat, it also talks of Ezekekial Bread/Toast. Then nowhere else, anywhere does it talk about the bread. When are you supposed to eat it and how much?
Please answer as soon as you can, we are quite confused (and ready to lose some weight).
(A) Ezekial Bread is a whole, sprouted, multi grain bread that has a significantly reduced gluten content. You can usually find it at your grocery store (in the frozen food part of the organic section, if there is one...otherwise most health food stores carry it). It's the only bread that conforms to the hCG diet. We generally only recommend Ezekial Bread/Toast to people with blood sugar issues (hypoglycemia, diabetes, etc.). If this is the case, than adding in a breakfast of 2 eggs and 1 slice of Ezekial Toast in the morning will help to stabilize your blood sugar for the day. If you don't have pre-existing blood sugar issues, than we recommend avoiding bread all together. I hope this answered your question. If you need more help feel free to contact me.
(Q) I have a few friends that are on the HCG diet and are highly recommending it, what I'm unsure of is the risks of taking the HCG drops. I have read a lot of good and bad things about it and a few places I read said there's a high risk of pregnancy. I'm on birth control but I NEED to make sure that there is no risk to get pregnant.
(A) Taking the HcG drops will not increase your chance of pregnancy, although taking birth control will slow down the results of the HCG diet because of the effect that synthetic prescriptions can do to your digestive systems. Remember that you are burning 2000-3000 calories per day of abnormal fat that is loaded with toxins. So adding additional toxins (birth control pills) in while you are detoxing is an oxymoron!!!
(Q) I have 2 questions.
- Can I take ECE while on the HCG Diet?
- Is it better to use instead of Arginine and Citrulline for helping with Hypertension, and cardiovascular benefits?
(A) Yes you can take while on hCG. Is it better than Arginine and Citrulline? Not necessarily. If Arginine and Citrulline aren't doing the trick then it would certainly be worth a try.
(Q) Hi my cousin was telling me about this HCG diet, she gave me the diet plan phase2 don't know if there is a one, i don't drink tea or coffee, so that creates a problem, but i could drink water. there is a section of lunch and dinner options but i am not sure how to do this. Just pair a meat with a vegetable and some fruit and bread for each meal? and no more than 500 calories a day and you take the drops as quoted what if i am unable to get the organic food have no idea where to buy or the funds.
(A)Phase 2 of the diet is fairly straight forward…simply take the hCG drops as directed and eat until your stuffed….when your full, grab more food…make sure this food is high fat and as clean as possible (ie. organic), you'll do this for 2 full days, on the 3rd day you'll start the restricted diet (also known as Phase 2). It isn't essential to drink coffee or tea while on this diet, however, drinking specific teas can help to dissipate hunger pains and assist with the detox process while on the diet (these teas are listed on the bottom of the HCG diet guide). You'll want to drink as much water as you can. As far as meal planning goes, You're on the right track…Just choose one of the meats listed and pair it with one of the veggies listed, we don't recommend eating bread except in certain circumstances (diabetes, hypo-glycaemia, etc….if this is the case please let me know and I can give specific directions for you). The fruit we usually recommend to use as an in-between meal snack. You want to stay as close to 500 calories a day as possible. Organic foods are highly recommended but are not a deal-breaker…ideally, for best overall health, we would all eat organic all the time but food and financial availability is not always ideal …do the best you can. you can order hcg online for $26 and we'll mail them to you. You want to avoid putting any product on your skin.
(Q) I have lost 65 lbs on the HCG diet with a year and have had no problem maintaining the weight but feel like the inches that I lost are slowly coming back even though I am following the maintenance phase. Is there anything I can do?
(A) So, you are following phase 4 correctly. Are you sure that you are eating enough protein? If you are eating 5-6 meals per day, at least 3 of them containing protein, are you digesting that protein? It could be that you would need to work on your digestion. We can send a copy of the rules of the stomach if you feel that digestion is the issue.
(Q) so if we wanted to do a salad with grilled chicken we cant have any dressing at all? and if we cant have dextrose but we can have stevia why is that the first ingredient?
(A) No dressing, but you can use apple cider vinegar or lemon and spices. This works really weel and is quite yummy. I don't understand the dextrose question, could you clarify? Just a note Stevia is the only allowed sweetener as it does not create a glycemic response (meaning that the body treats it as a herb not a sweetener), or does it have the calories of dextrose, or does it slow down the metabolism when the body is burning body fat.
--- > follow-up
- (Q) When I look at the ingredients on the stevia package the first ingredient says dextrose did i get the wrong one?
- (A) Yes, that is the wrong product. Bassett's has mail order if you are not in the area 1-800-783-7817. If you are in the area go to Bassett's Health Food to see the wide variety of stevia products. My favorite is the French Vanilla, YUMMM...
(Q) i have been on the hcg diet 9 days. ihave been extremely careful about following the guide lines. i have not cheated as much as one little tomato. the first 2 days i lost 2 lbs a day. but since then i have lost one one lb. every 2 days.is this normal? is there anything i can do to speed this along?
(A) So, it souds to me like you are saying that you are losing 1/2 lb/day. If so this is good. Here are some things to consider for enhancing the diet. Are you on any meds? Do you poop 2X's every day? Are you taking the supplements, drinking the teas, and drinking between 1/2 - 1 gallon of water per day? You might consider light exercise, (walking 1 hr per day), this can be broken up into smaller sections of time, take the stairs instead of the elevator, park further away from entrance, things like this really help. Colonics, FIR, cellercise etc, also boost the effect.
(Q) I am doing phase 2 for the 2nd time, and would like to try it with "raw" food. I heard that 50% of your daily intake of food should be uncooked. What can I use as a substitute for protein? During phase 3 I ate alot of fruits, vegies, and nuts. I felt great!
(A) Raw meat, is by far and away your best bet. I believe that your diet should be 70% raw foods if not all!!! The problem is that during phase 2 the food consumption is very low which will throw off this ratio. The protein becomes critical as to prevent your body from going catabolic (eating it's own tissue). If your body hoes catabolic then the diet is no longer working on resetting your metabolism and burning that unwanted stored, hard if not impossible to get rid of body fat. Their are some individuals who refuse to eat meat, in this case then a whey protein isolate drink, or MRN (New Zealand raised) mixed in water has been used as a substitute. the question still lies in has this truly reset the metabolism. Which is the goal of the diet, meaning not just taking off the weight but keeping it off!!!
(Q) I'm confused about how many times I am suppose to take the drops. The bottle says 6 times a day, but we only eat three meals a day. So when do we take the drops the other three times that were suppose to?
(A) I always put my drops in my daily water supply, so that I am constantly sipping them throughout the day. Having said that the other option being 10 minutes before or after food/drinks, or on an empty stomach.
(Q) I just purchased two 21-day supplies of HCG drops for my daughter and myself and I'm trying to download the HCG phase 1-4 information from your website. I enter my name and email address and nothing happens. Can you either let me know what I'm doing wrong, or email me a copy of it?
(A) That is right: name then email address then submit. I just tried it and it worked fine. Try again otherwise I can email you a copy at the above email, if need be!
(Q) I cannot find anywhere in the diet when you are suppose to take the Hcg. I see you are to take it six times a day but is there a specific time of day you are to take. With food? without food? Please let me know
Thank you in advance
(A) Always put my drops in my daily water supply so that I am sipping them constantly through the day. Otherwise drops are to be taken 10 minute before or after food/drinks.
(Q) I started having cramps today and thought my normal period was about to start. But then I noticed blood in my stool. Has this happened to anyone before? I have heard that women have missed their period but nothing about blood in stool. Also, yesterday for no reason I was hearing my heartbeat in my left ear. It's a sign of high blood pressure but I do not have a history of hight blood pressure. Could this have anything to do with HCG?
(A) Blood in stool is not good. How much are we talking about? Has it happened since that time? Have you been having regular bowel movements, 2/day? Do you have a history of hemorrhoids? Yes, heartbeat int he ear can be high blood pressure. hCG is famous for balancing blood pressure. Having said that, if this hasn't happened before, has it happened since? If so this can be a result due to the detox from the fat loss. As you burn that stored fat which is loaded with toxins they have to be processed by the body. Detox has a wide range of effects on the body, most short lived .Keep an eye on these symptoms as there are several ways to assist with the detox. None of these problems are a result of taking hCG, but are things that you want to pay attention to.
(Q) Oh I do thank you for your promo answer is there a list that I can go by I will really appreciated I see apples have carbs but I'm to eat 2 a day so I'm confuse which for me does not takes much.. Lol
(A) You can eat all fruit except, try to stay away from high sugar content fruits like bananas. It is actually a good idea to eat heavy whipping creme (preferably raw organic) with your fruit not only is it a real treat but, it also balances out the sugar load. You can Google glycemic index for sugar content in foods. But I have already given you a fairly complete list of what to avoid. More important than glycemic index is the glycemic load.
(Q) Could being on the HCG drops lead to a false-positive pregnancy test if taken while on the drops?
(A) Not likely.
(Q) I'm still in phase 2 and doing great I have lost 19 pounds in a month and my boyfriend 21. we are looking fordward in going to phase three but it sais no carbs and no sugar I have look at some food and even apples have carbs. Does the diet mean just no breads any thing made out of flour and wheat or potatoes. Also carrots are high in sugars this mean only not to have man made sugar like regular sugar and syrups anything added to the food's natural stage right???
(A) Sounds like you are doing a fantastic job. No carbs or sugar means breads, pasta etc. As well as any food containing added sugar (artificial or otherwise), with the exception of Stevia. No potatoes, corn, bananas, syrups, etc, you get the idea. Keep up the good work and keep me posted.
(Q) I'm 5'6" female at 148lbs. I workout 3 times a week but couldn't get rid of belly fat. I started HCG 9 days ago and today I registed at 140.5 which is the same weight I was yesterday morning and the day before was 141. Have I hit a plateau? I do not want to loose too much more weight overall, but my stomach isn't where I want it either. Should I continue phase 2, move to phase 3, or do something else to target my stomach area?
(A) In phase 2 if you stay the same weight or go up for 4 consecutive days then, on the 4th day you eat only 6 apples, drink just enough water to quench thirst, drink corn silk tea, and coffee. Do not go by how much you think that you would like to weight, go by the loss of the belly fat. When that is gone then you should move into phase 3, as long as you have been on phase 2 for at least 21 days. This diet is designed to eliminate abnormal body fat that accumulates in those hard to lose areas (as in the belly fat you are talking about).
(Q) I am experiencing hair loss. I can comb my hair and long strands are easily comming out. Is this a sided effect from the diet? If so should I be taking Bioten?
(A) We see that frequently due to the detoxing. Yes, Biotin would help. It takes 5000 mg/day for any effect on hair. Iosol, 3 drops 2X's/day in water, also helps support thyroid and hair loss.
(Q) I have a problem with constipation what can i use while on the hcg diet? Also I drink alcohol will the hcg diet still work? To be honest I have a drinking problem. I tried AA..:(( That is where the majority of my weight comes from.
(A) You have to poop to be successful on this diet. If you don't poop then get colonics, or do coffee enemas, use the herb Cascara Segrada, Magnesium, and probiotics (which you should be using on the diet anyway). Walk for an hour everyday (you can break it up, do stairs, park further away from buildings etc.). If you live close to Toledo, come see us and we can show you how to poop, and to quit drinking. Drinking is self medication, and can be resolved with neurofeedback, biofeedback, homeopathic remedies and protein isolates (missing neurotransmitters). How much do you drink? What is your occupation? Just a couple of remedies often do the trick for drinking problems.
AA does not fix the biochemical problem. Which I think is the biggest flaw to their program!!! I don't like the fact that they try to turn you into an addict when it is pure and simple biochemistry, stress reduction, heavy metal and petrochemical detox.
(Q) My wife has finished the first phase with 27.5 lost pounds! What is the allowable foods she can eat and may she have dairy?
(A) No carbs, sugar, packaged foods, artificial food of any kind (including sweeteners). Six small meals/day, eat fats (butter, mayo, olive oil, coconut oil etc). Go to Anyanakai.com hCG page and read phase 1-4 as if were your bible. All of you questions should be answered there, if not please feel free to contact me back.
The biggest mistake people make in phase 3 is not eating enough calories often enough throughout the day, including healthy fats back into their diet.
(Q) My goal is to b slim again and happy in my own skin. the goal is to b happy and not b ashamed or disgusted wen i look n the mirror. i am happy with wat i lost n i want to keep it off i have been more happy these few weeks at the possibilities of wat is to come than i have been in the past few years. i want to loose 50 bls n keep it off n not freak out if i gain a few pounds. does the 21 days start at phase 1or 2?
(A) It is actually phase 2, which is 21-45 days. Then phase 3 is 6 weeks if it your first go around,. If you have not lost all of the weight that you want at the end of phase 3, then you go back to phase 2 for another 21-45 days, then back into phase 3 for 8 weeks etc. All of this info is in our packet. Sooo...you might want to re-evaluate the situation and stay on phase 2 for the full 45 days.
(Q) And will i loose more weight on phase 3 or will it maintain with the weight after phase 2 is complete?
(A) That is totally up to you. The biggest problem is not eating enough or often enough. Prior to the hCG diet, the only diet I put people on that had tremndous results that acually worked is the phase 3 mentallity. 5-6 meals/day, high protein, high fat, and lots of veggies.
(Q) To answer ur question i wanna stop having cravings n not worry about bein fat and gaining weight.
(A) If you do the diet properly you will never have cravings or weight gain again. So please stick to the protocols as close as possible, read the ways to enhance detox (found in phase 1-4 packet, ie; colonics, cofee enemas, magnesium, probiotics, cascara segrata etc). Come take my class on Monday 06/27/11 for more info. Read all of the info in the phase 1-4 packet including Q&A at the back, and, email with any questions not answered in the packet.
(Q) I am just starting the diet and the dropper is marked with .5ml and 1.0 ml when I measure 12 drops it seems to come to the .5ml mark is this the correct mark for 12 drops?
(A) Yes
(Q) I've been on hcg for 2 weeks and doing well, but I have a skin rash. Could this be related? If so, do you have any recommendations on what I should do about it? Thank you!
(A) Yes, it could be related. We see this a lot with the detox from the fat (weight) loss. Your body is burning 2000-3500 calories of abnormal fat/day. This fat is loaded with toxins. The skin being the biggest detox organ, can explain the skin rash. I also have to wonder how you are pooping? At least 2X's/day. If not then your body is re-absorbing the toxins. Also are you drinking enough water and tea (especially corn silk tea for the kidneys)? As the kidneys also help with the detox. If you are doing all of the above recommendations then I suggest a colonic or a coffee enema. If you look at Anyana Kai.com hCG page phase 1-4 there are many suggestions for enhancing the detox process.
(Q) No - UGH! I've only pooped twice in the last two weeks!!! I feel like I have an obstruction. I had a pap yesterday and the nurse practitioner couldn't even get to the cervix because I was so swollen. I don't know if that is from the hcg or if the bowel is in the way. I'll check out your website - thanks a ton!
(A) Not pooping is very serious while on the diet. Do you live in the area? If so please call us at 419.720.2973 ext.1 and set up a colonic immediately! If you are not from this area go online and find a therapist, and set an appointment for yesterday. If push comes to show I can email you info on a coffee enema. You need to add Cascara Segrata, probiotics and magnesium to your program for better bowel function. You can order these products by calling 419.531.8787. Not pooping is will ruin the diet's effects.
(Q) My neck is so red and so itchy and this has never happened before. My pendulum gets that its fungus. Would you treat it? Or just have it erupt and comes out? I have no clue what to do. It began yesterday. Seems to be getting worse. Hot, red, blotchy, itchy! I have washed it a couple times - hot hot water even cold cold - to try and stop the itching. Recommendations?
(A) Do you have any Tea Tree oil? If so use it topically on the fungus. We have other tropical's if you are in need of any. Start using the FNG, Candida Plus, Candida 1& 100 M. Also check your pH. If you are running acid, then, use at least the juice of one lemon/day, increase the Master Mineral supplements, and add trace minerals to your water.
